This notice explains how personal information is handled when you use The Broker Room website or choose to send an enquiry. Email hello@thebrokerroom.com.au for privacy, access, correction or complaint questions.
Privacy
Your property planning stays under your control.
Use the calculators before you identify yourself. Effective: 4 September 2026.
Calculator information
The numbers you enter into our calculators — such as property price, income, expenses, debts, interest rate and loan term — are processed in your browser. They are not ordinarily stored by The Broker Room or attached to an enquiry automatically.
Information you choose to provide
An enquiry includes the contact details and selections you submit, plus a limited record of the page or journey it came from. The initial form does not ask for bank credentials, identity documents, income, liabilities, credit history or calculator answers. Please do not include sensitive records in the message field.
Service providers and overseas processing
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, Turnstile and aggregate analytics. Resend delivers enquiry email. Calculator figures and enquiry content are not configured for analytics. Technical or enquiry information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States. See the Resend policy and Cloudflare policy.
Broker connections
With your consent, enquiry details may be shared with an appropriately authorised mortgage broker. Calculator figures are not transferred automatically, and the public form does not lock an enquiry to one broker business.
How long enquiry information is kept
Enquiry emails do not currently have a fixed automated deletion period. Records are kept only while reasonably required for the enquiry, business records, complaints, security or legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified when no longer required.
Access, correction and complaints
Email hello@thebrokerroom.com.au if you want to request access to or correction of your information. For a privacy complaint, use “Privacy complaint” as the subject. Reasonable identity verification may be required. Information about unresolved Australian privacy complaints is available from the OAIC.
